    Because he gave me a lift to sheffield and back he says he doesnt now</p>

    he says &quot;It would have cost you £30 to get back in taxi&quot;</p>

    plus there was 2 other mates in the car too, probably not charging them £20..</p>

    It's a pathetic excuse, and totally unfair...</p>

    Next time you give him a lift anywhere charge him

    in fact start charging him for anything that you do for him that would have cost him if he had to hire someone to do it.</p>

    I gave him a ballocking, and we've agreed that he owes me £15...</p>

    I've told him that i'll pay £5 towards the petrol</p>

    if he was making the journey any way then there should be no cost. That's the way I do it. Anyone who then wants to 'tip up' is welcome, but that's up to them.
