My mate who just happens to be a York fan

I sent him an email earlier about Sodje and i'm sad to say that he backs the doubters 100%. Here are some quotes directly from his email (nothing changed):

Us York fans are speechless that somebody wants to take this waste of space off us and the fact that the said club is in the championship just makes it unreal. Seriously he is not good enough for the conference so who the hell your scouts have been watching is beyond me and every other York fan i know. The forums are full of people either scratching their heads or pissing themselves laughing at you not just because we found a club stupid enough to take him but because they actaully want to buy him. My own opinion is that your scouts were pissed or simply haven't turned up to any games in the last year or they would not have gone anywhere near this lazy fecker. If he gets you more than 1 goal in his first season i'll be amazed. You go on about how **** odejayi is well i can tell you that this guy makes odejayi look like Torres. Dont believe me? tell me again next summer if i was right or wrong.

I went to the FA conf cup/vase final at wembley a few weeks ago and the york city eard hstrikers were awful on the day.It was posted on this site that we were signing him last season so when he came off the bench at wembley i took notice.i must admit he didnt stand out,he didnt shine at all......i hope im wrong and he becomes a quality player as i only saw him for 10-15 mins but on that day,he was on the bench and the york strikers on the pitch were awful.

 

I just think there are too many saying the same thing for it to be bitterness. My mate certainly isn't bitter, he just gave his honest opinion.
There are some on here who have been blowing a gasket since the news broke just because everyone isn't dancing in the streets about this signing.

 

If he does then fair play to you for getting a great deal. Good luck though, you will need it.

 

im not dancing in the streets nor am i saying he's *****. I'm looking at the fact we've signe da 20 year old kid who has rumoured to have potential. Until i've seen him play I cant really form an opinion wether he is good or bad. We have to treat him with th same level of optimism that we greeted micheal coulson with.
