1. SD did keep us in the Championship when appointed but has not taken the club forward since then. 2. For all the good signings SD has made he's made as many bad signings. 3. If we're little old Barnsley with no cash then why do persist in an academy system that produces no players or cash as we let players move for no fee. 4. SD has never won round the fans and was the cheap option. 5. SD cannot sell the club to potential transfer targets unless they're foreign. 6. SD and his backroom staff cannot influence the team to perform. 7. If we didn't have an academy could we afford the wages Jamie Ward was asking for. 8. I agree with NorthYorksRed let's get Mark Robins in before we're in League 1. 9. Start slagging me off (thankfully you don't where I live!)
apart from the bit about paying Jamie Ward the wages he was after. The kid is not worth it and we did the right thing in not being held to ransom by a shark Mr 10%.
You harp on about the Academy and the costs. You clearly have no idea. There was a post by Wigan Red last week which states with so knowledge that the whole academy costs the club less than £2000 per week net. Do you think any player worth having is going to come for just £2k per week. Get real!
All the acadamy creates is big headed 16 year olds who more often than not go on to achieve very little.
