Haven’t been to any matches yet, so I suppose I shouldn’t give my opinion BUT I WILL!

I’ve been reading all the posts about how bad things are (supposed to be) and whether Andy Ritchie should leave or what Mr Shepherd should or shouldn’t do.

Things could be a lot worse than having lost the last 4 games and being in 20th position, we could be in 20th position and only have 4 games to fight to survive to hang on to that position!

The team is trying to play good football and win. The finishing touch is not there yet, but it’s not far off. Soon things will fall into place and we will start winning regularly. Andy Ritchie and Rick Holden seem to know what they are doing in building a team for the future. I agree that we could do with a bit of experience to help now but I don’t think it is a good idea to just sign anyone at any cost. We can’t have players being paid lots more than the rest of the team and being put in the starting side just because they are called “????”. Football is a team game and everyone has to work as a team on and off the pitch. One good player does not make a team. I think we do need a goal keeper because we only really have Nick Colgan. Vito Mannone is only here for a couple of months (I think) and I’m not sure that Kyle Letheren gets to play many of the reserve games.

I have met Mr Shepherd and Mr Ritchie a few times and I don’t think that any of them would hurt BFC especially deliberately. I think both of them are determined to succeed and build a team to be proud of not just for now but for years to come which is why we have young players who can and do work together.

I will get to some of the games, the results will come, we will start winning and we will still play good attractive football AND stay in this division. Next season we can start to challenge for promotion but for this season lets get behind the Club and everyone who works there.

    Laura

PS. As I said this is my opinion

"The finishing touch is not there yet, but it’s not far off"...

And when it does, finally, all click into place we will start picking up the points and with style to boot...

That's what I was going to put

    I originally put

I’ve been reading all the posts about how bad things are (supposed to be) and whether Andy Ritchie should leave or what Mr Shepherd should or shouldn’t do. When we win tomorrow, easily and with style, I wonder how many opinions will change and everything will be rosy again.

but I changed my mind as I didn't want to offend anyone by my opinion.

You may have offended some people (maybe)...

But you would've been right nonetheless - a good result tomorrow and this weekend will soon be forgotten about...

No offence to you, but that was written with genuine maturity. Very well said.

With a little bit of luck

we can really start our season tomorrow and then go on an unbeaten run of x amount of games and just to rub it in the teams that have been doing really well can hit a bad patch!

    Nasty me? Well yes, sometimes!

    My parents have always said

I have been here before as I am too grown up/know too much for my age.

I said earlier I had thought about my post and had typed it on word and kept changing it until I was happy with it before posting.

As you so often do Laura....

...you put many an adult on here to shame with your perception and sheer common sense.

(Hope you don't find that patronising, it certainly isn't meant to be!)

    Thank you

I'm trying to think before I post(speak). It's easier than having to apologise! :pff

Good to hear that you're feeling better. Are you going to school tomorrow?

i hear what you are saying Laura and i think most of it is correct

but the main think im worried about is the players becoming demoralised. If i was working in an environment and working my ass off and there were others constantly undermining my hard work and making a mess of things then i would slowly have the will to be bothered anymore sucked out of me. We need to plug the holes before its too late or the wheels could well and truly fall off. Lucky for us we have a great team spirit so this is holding out at the moment - but how long will it last if we keep getting nothing for all the effor we put in??
