My Player Ratings and Review

Colgan - 5 Not much to do. Should have come off his line quicker for the goal and timewasted appallingly. Nick get on with it.....we are at home you pleb!</p>

Tonge 6 - Better 2nd half absolutely garbage in the 1st.... not good enough yet to be a 1st teamer and maybe not good enough for the bench either.</p>

Williams 5 - Good cross for the goal and good free kick effort. Lose weight and stay off the ale. Too slow and passing abysmal at times</p>

Reid 6 - Won his fair share of headers gets caught out with chanel balls as he is not the quickest.</p>

Austin 8 MOM - A very good effort out of position and is a far better option there than Carbon.</p>

Burns 7 - 1st half garbage 2nd a lot better. Had drive in the 2nd half that was missing in the 1st. Passing a major worry and in the 1st half slowed the game down again but more positive in that repect in the 2nd period</p>

McPhail 4 - lightweight and didn't get involved at all. One quality pass in the 1st half and.......no that was it. Not match fit.</p>

Devaney 6 - You ball greedy lovely person. I know you have been playing well but the showboating has to stop. Failed to see the correct pass. Missed the sitter of the season in the first 5mins.</p>

Shuker 6 - Another who did better in the 2nd half but that showed how **** he was in the 1st half. Better in the last 3rd which he failed to get into in the 1st 45 mins</p>

Richards 5 - Worked hard but hasn't the skill to work the back 4.</p>

Hayes 4 - Utter **** apart from the goal. Which I give him, how it was acredited to Wright is beyond me??</p>

Subs</p>

Wright 6 - Looks a handful and has a bit of pace........will be better than Richards and should have started.</p>

Nardiello 4 - Why did he bother to take his jumper off....lack of balls</p>

Kell 5 - Early days - didn't look back bad but hard to tell yet in 8 mins of football.</p>



Summary</p>

An abysmal advert for football and the lack of bottle by the players showed from the 1st minute. We have no strength in depth and the injury problem is a serious one.</p>

We started brightly and Devaney should have scored from 4 yards as early as the the 4th minute. After that it was worse than the other &quot;worst we have played this season&quot; games.</p>

I am struggling to pinpoint anything within the 1st half of note apart from a good free kick which brought a good save from Oakes. Oh and the worst corner kick I have ever seen when he kicked the corner flag - brilliant!!</p>

2nd half we improved ten fold but still not good enough. Why have we started to launch the ball to the Mir space staion instead of playing the football we are capable (Bradford away - anybody). </p>

Again missed chances have cost us victory although we would have lucky on the performance to walk away with a win.</p>

When we get the ball down we are different side not the hoof it merchants - please take notice Ritchie that this tactic sucks and our season will be over in the next 2 months.</p>

The goal was a scrappy afair but well done to Hayes for being in the right place at the right time and finishing well.</p>

Overall a very poor performance but we live to fight another day. We have nothing to fear playing Walsall away and the next round is still within our grasp.</p>

 

I think we've everything to fear. They were much better than us. Ritchie's tactics are spoiling things.
We were crap today.

 

At least we ended playing better. I thought we were carrying on from Huddersfield in the first half!

My main worry at half time was we normally play worse in the 2nd half than the 1st!!!! Jesus just imagine that!!??</p>
