another terrible performance by reds today i am sick of andy ritchie and the long ball system to centre forwards who refuse to jump-this sytem oonly worked when wright came on- we have on paper one of the best midfields in division yet we continually bypass it-jeez..

colgan 6- 2 great saves but why why why wont he come and deal with crosses
r.williams 4- didnt look interested the guy has talent but only when he decides to use it
reid 7- looked solid again best defender at club
tonge 6- looked useful going forward still think hes a bit slow
    austin 7- good performance today
shuker 5- another performance of bits and bats how many more ???????????
devaney 5 - got mom for what? 3 runs and is not happy beating a man why does he have to do it 3 times-think he is playing for himself and reputation and not for team
burns 6- becoming disheartened with him-what does he do except run aroud alot
mcphail 4- sooner hes off the better not interested unless a big team
richards 4-at least he tried to jump first touch like a hammer couldnt score with our lass and shes easy
hayes-2- if hes a striker im a chinaman

    subs
wright-6- only on for 25-30 minutes and won more headers than richards and hayes combined in match.
    nardiello-5-didnt look bothered
kell-6-good passing seemed to be calm on ball rather than hit anywhere

cue abuse for not liking hayes...........

    Well...

Your vendetta with Hayes, who, if given the goal he got against Rotherham now has 11 goals in all competitions, is alarming.

He won a lot of headers first half (including one to release Devaney inside 30 seconds for a great chance), scored our equalising goal, and put in a perfect cross which McPhail should have buried.

Richards was pretty poor and Wright should have started.

Austin played well but the rest of our defence was shaky at best, Colgan was excellent, Burns and Devaney were pretty good.

    MotM: Austin/Burns/Colgan

    But Hayes 2? flipping hell.

RE: I don't know where to start!

Well I think those marks are very harsg - a 2 for Hayes, admittidely he stands around most of the time but I'd give him a 5.

Mainly though for Colgan, Devaney and the defence

I'd knock marks off the defence (and add to Colgan) for the fact they constantly made Colgan deal with balls right on the edge of the area, and put him under pressure with back passes for him to hoof forward when they could easily have done so.

Devaney for me was MotM as he was the only player trying to do something and showing willing

No, I'm just telling you you're wrong.

How on earth anyone could think it was Wright's goal is beyond me.

    Either way....

Hayes was in our best 5 players comfortably, who was better? Austin, Devaney, Burns maybe..thats it.

    Beat me to it

Wright set it upĀ  Hayes scored it - if they can combine like that every week I will be very happy</p>

A Paul Hayes shot from 10 yards has been described as both a header by Wright and by Hayes on here... unbelievable!

    I like this

"we have on paper one of the best midfields in division
shuker 5- another performance of bits and bats how many more ???????????
devaney 5 - got mom for what? 3 runs and is not happy beating a man why does he have to do it 3 times-think he is playing for himself and reputation and not for team
burns 6- becoming disheartened with him-what does he do except run aroud alot
mcphail 4- sooner hes off the better not interested unless a big team"

My favourite food is root vegetables. I ******* hate potatoes, turnip, swede, sweet potatoes, carrots, celeriac, beetroot and parsnips.

Not having even seen the goal . . .

. . . BBC credited it to Wright at first on the report and then Hayes on the vidiprinter. Just saying, like.

    your match reports

usually wind me up but for once i mostly agree with you. i think hayes getting a 2 is harsh - we don't play to his strengths which is ball to feet. i agree about williams, tonge and burns.

do you think kell is a good addition to the squad? he's obviously dead rusty after such a long lay off but i think he will be pretty decent
