Thought Butterfiled looked well up for the game and disappointed not to see him on earlier for Colace who i though had a poor game. Colace tends to shirk tackles and 95% of his passes are sideways. Hardly ever looks up for that forward thru ball. And Halfreddson - always seems to have the ball stuck under him - which made him get into alsorts of trouble last night and made him look very immobile. At least he never stopped running so fair play. Kozzie did very well to say hes not had many games lately! came in and put in a top performance. Hammill - very good but lacked composure in the box and twice blew perfect opportunities to lay on a goal by opting to shoot. Hume was fuming with him. Cant blame adam for having a pop though with the goals hes scored latey. Moore was solid. Foster 7/10. Made a couple of boo boos. Steele was excellant. Defending for first goal shocking. Macken poor. JCR back to his usual wanna beat 10 players instead of laying on the easy pass. Get rid for me. Rest had good games. Overall i think we just lacked fluidity and gave the ball away far too much - which you cant do against a top team. Had we been on song up front however and had a a bit of luck that game was there for the taking.
colace had a good game. do you no what a dm does ? a dm does not go jumping in to tackles. colace stoped anderson well lat night and got the ball from defence and past it to the full backs or to another midfielder. well done hugo
I thought Colace was poor last night, he didn't look up as Omen sez and most f his balls went backwards (which wasn't his fault) or to the opposition (which was). However i'd have brough Butterfield on for Iceman at half time because he seemed very immobile.
can you give us a run down of his highlights last night i struggle to remember one decent thing he did all night. He was a passenger up front.
memorable then! hehe I cant remember a thing he did that created anything OR put a decent shift in. Did he even have a shot on goal?
Did brilliantly to get to the by-line and put in a great cross first half, no-one there to benefit though.
still laughing... halfreddsson and colace played well.. what were you watching? and why he took Anderson off i have no idea.
Colace was superb Ran himself into the ground, won clean ball and got a foot in on many occasions, and hardly ever gave possession away.
RE: Did brilliantly to get to the by-line and put in a great cross far too often we had nobody in the box when attacking and nobody on the back post for crosses.
20/20 vision my friend and no beer pre match. You watch colace next game (if he plays and doesnt get dropped for Butterfield - see what Robins made of his performance). Our front two will be in acres of space yet Colace wants rid of the ball like a hot potato so it goes sideways to whoever is nearest. And yes macken was *****. And Iceman - trying to think what he reminds me of (besides a lightbulb). Ball stick to him like a magnet but its like he cant get it away from his feet.
Couldn't disagree more, but there you are, just an opinion. Not sure where the beer comes into it though, I've seen Colace and Macken on many occasions this season and I like them both, with and without beer
omen isnt that the sign of a good dm that no one notices him and he just gets on with is game. passes the ball short protects the back 4 exc
RE: Colace was excellent Not a huge fan of Colace but that was the first time ive seen him boss the midfield last night and against man u! they were one of the fastest teams ive ever seen, welbeck, macheda, obertan, the da silvas, tosic, owen all very quick yet we competed excellently, colace and halfredsson were superb as was julian gray his best game for us and should keep his place ahead of dickinson on that performance! our finishing was ***** and cost us the game, anderson missed a sitter and a free header, foster 2 free headers on corners, boggy missed 2, hammill wasted chances, we really should have scored at least 2 last neet, didnt enjoy it one bit and couldnt wait to get home, ill be happier when all the jonny come latelys **** off bk to watch gillingham v shrewsbury (thats all the 2 lads behind me talked about all game)
