I am missing the game Been with my Mrs three years on Saturday. We got married in November and her work colleagues bought us vouchers for a sw@nky one night hotel stay with evening meal up near Leyburn. And has limited internet access due to location. At the time of booking we were rock bottom and no way would we finish in the play offs. To add to this my mobile phone is being sent to Samsung for a repair. The hotel does not have sky sports. I am currently writing this using the youngests iPad whilst she is at school and before I head out to work. Can you feel my pain?
Are there any pubs with Sky Sports - just make sure your evening meal is booked for after 8pm and have a pre dinner drink in one of the locals?
I agree..there are times when you've to be dishonest and crafty...ring every pub in the area and find a table where you can view the screen..then bribe the landlord with a pint to make sure the game is on...play it cool as though you're not really paying attention and just be careful not to spit Spag Bol everywhere shouting gooooooaaaalllll....sorted. I wouldn't do it but a lot would !!
Have you considered talking to her calmly about it and asking it you could possibly re-arrange your night out? She might, just might, understand. For example, you could offer her something better, like a 2 night break in London on 28th and 29th May. I'm sure she'd love that.
Country pubs tend not to have skysports. Not here in Wentworth. I'll be off down Elsecar for 2nd leg.
I feel your pain. I will be in the middle of nowhere with my little lad on his Beaver Scout camp. I'm trying to work out how I can sneak away and find a pub.
Carlsberg SaturdayFantastic hotel and meal with the wife plus our hotel room had a 50 inch tv in living area and full sky sports package in hd.
