Mark Robins Paul Jewell Aidy Boothroyd Those are the most realistic, you could also add Steve Cotterill to that list..
I posted last week that I was sat next to Jewell on a flight from Leeds- Gatwick when he was doing the talking heads thing for Sky (morning after the Preston game) and he said he would be interested if the job came up (he might have been pillocking me for all I know but seemed genuine)
and along with those names, why not add; gordon strachan, bobby robson, mark lawrenson, michael jackson, teddy kennedy, jerry springer, angus seed, frank zappa, elvis presley, FFS!
i'd be a bit worried about michael jackson working with our youth team but i think elvis is a good shout!!
That is a fair shout! I'd forgotten about him. If you want experience and success at this level its going to be harder to suggest a better name.
I like Lee Clark. Unproven or not. if i had to put them in order of preference: Robins, Jewell, Clark, Cotteril.
I don't think I've made my point too clearly, mate Your personal choices have a great deal of validity about them. The point I was trying to make, unsuccessfully, is that there will be candidates for the job (possibly even the appointment itself) which will not be met with universal approval, perhaps even total dislike.
i agree, and i fear it will happen this time. just got a feeling it will be boothroyd, adams or dowie. Although dowie seems better suited when he is grafting with no funds then when he spunks loads of money on **** like he did at charlton.
