Here goes:

Reserve each season ticket holder his seat up to 48 hours before the match.

Mean while flog the rest of us plebs a ticket by opening a turn stile on a cash only basis. This way every one would have plenty of time to get their ticket.

Most season ticket holders sit with other season ticket holders, so why would they need 2 tickets if they couldn't sit together with their mates?

    Tell me I'm barmy!

    Alternative view

Attracting fans down as a guest of a ST holder and changing seats to sit with them, is a way of getting some fans down to the ground who probably wouldn't bother if they were left to their own devices and had to sit on their own. I have a mate like that who considers it too much trouble unless I fanny about after him. You may say he would be no great loss, but surely we need every fan we can get.

    RE: Alternative view

Point taken but this is alienating fans who go to all the home games.

How many have loyal fans we lost in the long term?

Agreed, we do need as many as we can get , but

what about the ones we already have, we are being shabbily treated and the club keep saying it wont happen again , but it does time after time.
We are living in the 21st Century, yet Barnsley are happy to ignore the internet until they want you to fork out for the amateur commentary, that sometimes works, sometimes not, that you can only get by paying a subscription for. Then they remember that the internet is a good thing.

    Couldn't agree more

This 2 per ST Holder business wouldn't be as much of an issue for this game, if the club got their act together and distributed the tickets in a more professional manner.

    What puzzles me is...

We've gone backwards haven't we? Am I imagining this. We used to sell tickets over the internet, didn't we?
