i thought the whole 'hooligan' thing was pre arranged violence not aimed towards the normal shirt/scarf wearing supporter- how wrong -it seems what makes you a big man is to wait until people are getting on the tram-pull their scarf to turn around- then punch you in face before yu know whats happened- what a bunch of cowards.- and where were south yorkshires finest?-nowhere to be seen.

sort of put a dampener on the night- but not on the result [IMG]

Walking along Leppings Lane at full time, on the other side of the road a group of about 10 lads in their late teens and early 20s were being escorted by the Police back towards the ground. I made a comment about how they are naughty boys probably heading towards away fans are walking along looking for bother and some middle aged dude had a go at me and claimed that for all I know they might live down there. Yeah I mean what are the odds on upwards of a Dozen young lads, no colours, with a Police escort and walking towards where 4k away fans were leaving, all living down there lol.

In all fairness, supporters shuld be able to wear there colours

And not be in threat of getting a broken nose. I didn't hide my colours last night, got a few dirty looks as you do, but all in all i tend to think the Wendy fans are all a bit tame.

lets not go back to the 70s/early 80s eh

Whereby if you didn't wear your colours you were a coward, and if you did, you were fair game. FFS, Dee darrs have always been bad losers, they think only they should be noisy away fans who wear thier colours with pride, but you should go to Sheffield and be quiet and bow to them. Sambora was unlucky in that a Dee Darr coward decided to take a pot shot at him.

12.5 stone to be exact. I've actually been told one of my mates once did take a swing at you, you're certainly a popular kid. See you on saturday.

    Bad luck

Hope you are ok. I always wear shirt and scarf to away games (even in Europe!) and never had any trouble (except getting trampled on by a police horse at WEst Ham in the 80's). There again nobody's likely to have a pop at me!
