I'd be totally gutted if I were them, it just shows what a good thing they thought they had going by the reaction of there fans.
One bloke just had an on-air breakdown... Slagging Robins off about leaving for Barnsley, and then turning his attention to John Breckin and saying that he should have loved the chance to take charge of his home-town club but he's after the money of Barnsley - he was almost in tears. Seth Bennett then asked him "If someone came to you, from a higher company, and offered to double your salary, would you take it?" His initial response? "Lets move away from Mark Robins now..." Seth pushed him, and he then went on to launch into a mumbling rant about how he wasn't a money-driven person and he would stay. Theres other people ringing up slagging us off saying that we are asking to pay less compensation in the contract, and Seth then said that a lot of stories are suggesting that Rotherham are actually asking for extra money, while other reports say that its not even an issue that involves us at all.
aye I can't understand how they can be so bitter ! I'm sure our fans would never have.. behaved that way if an adored manager left to go to a perceived 'bigger' rival.... ahem !
paul's a head case, the truth is majority of the millers fans are more upset that Breckin has left,he's the main man not Robins... Do you remember how Barnsley fans felt when Danny Wilson left to go to Swillsborough then you would understand how we feel.........
