We were the better team in the first half, and held our own until both teams made substitutions about 20 mins from the end. Tommy Wright did nothing, Healy was too slow (Howard was much better) - this was the turning point. Togwell - who had another top game for us - and Healy were getting overrun in midfield, Devaney and McIndoe faded and Hayes stopped running and challenging. When Nardiello came on it was too late - there were three chances in the second half when it was still 0-0, one of which Nardiello would have taken - when he did come on we were already beaten.

Apart from Williams being AOL for the second goal, defensively we were ok.

The fighting spirit that has been evident this season was there again - until Sunderland scored, the heads dropped and another goal looked inevitable - but for Colgan there might have been 4-0.
