Now its ok for us on here to say we want this that and the other when it comes to managers ...........but we haven't got to pay for it..................But someone has !!!

I personally would like to see Jewell or Curbishley or Coppell, and the like
They would bring experience to the club which we are sadly lacking and have done so for a long time.
But these guys would want a huge wage packet
And how much money have these guys already accumulated throughout their careers ?
And because of their now comfortable lifestyle would they go that extra mile with Barnsley to make Barnsley a successful club ?

On the other hand do we go for a younger manager that has everything to prove?
OK, they don’t come with the experience, so it’s a huge risk to employ them, but I would say that they would approach a job like Barnsley with more hunger to succeed

I would say that the hunger for success is a very very important consideration for Pat Cryne

    The thing with that is

That is just what we have had. A young manager that is hungry to succeed, when we should have had an older experienced head then.

RE: The thing with that is

Robins has got 2 and half years experience as a manager. Davey had none when joining us. Robins is almost as experienced as SD was when he left us.
