Just about bang on Could put Devaney or Hayes on left and bring ritchi Jones in on right maybe Just hope it is 442 and no mattis!
I agree with the line up. In Daveys pre match interview he says we have to attack and this line up would match that requirement. I cant see Mattis playing a part at all this season. Even with Howard and Hassel out we still look decent. I don’t think Howard was on top from against Birmingham, he run his socks off as always but he has played better, rest should do him good. McCann has started to look good lately (and he’s been playing V well for N. Ireland) so im not too worried. I have faith in Hayes should Devany not make it, he as always stepped up to the plate when we have needed him most (Huddersfield 3 - 1 for example). Hassel will be missed, but Kay and Nyatanga played extremely well on Sat, if they do the same again we should be solid enough, Southend wont be half as dangerous as Birmingham don’t forget. We really need Nardie to play at the same tempo as he did on Saturday, I hope he didn’t just do that because it was his Dads Bday, if he plays like that again then he'll be on for another MOTM performance.
same team for me, if devaney isnt playing and hayes deputises then we could see a big performance from him as they tried to buy him in January and he might try and put himself in the shop window.
Colgan Austin Kay Nyatanga Heckingbottom *Hayes Jones Togwell K.Reid Ferenczi Nardiello Subs: Lucas, Atkinson, Mccann, *Coulson, Rajczi. * If Devaney isn't fit.
I would go with Mexborough Tykes team. If Devaney is fit though I would play him on the left and Reid on the right. Devaney has his best games on the left.
