Bit of a lie, as I switched myself off after 8pm last night and had a lovely night with my missus. But I have reflected upon the game since getting up this morning and here are my thoughts, for what they're worth: . The team selection - as usual - baffled me. No width, against a side I admit that I'm pretty clued up on, having spent a lot of time on their forum. They get ripped apart every week by sides who have width, and that play at a fast tempo. But Keith's homework was clearly different. We went narrow, played the 'Handbrake' again, and once again altered the centre halves. Baffling. I was surprised to see Cywka included, not so surprised to see Tudgay starting. Shame that injury appeared to rule out RNL. . Personally, I would have played the exact back four, so can't grumble there. However, I'd play Bobby Hassell instead of the 'Handbrake' as at least Sir Bob can play a forward pass. I would have played O'Brien on the right, Perkins wide left, and Dawson with Hassell. 4-4-2. Simple. It may have failed, but it would have certainly given us more width, and allowed Stones and Golbourne to bomb on without worrying about the spaces left in behind them. But hey ho. I still expected us to beat them. . I took up my seat a few yards away from The Don, after a brief chat with my friends in the media. Mrs Cryne and Barry Taylor sat next to each other, with Mandaric a bit further down. David Preece arrived fashionably late, nice coat, mind. . The first half, we amazingly had no width, and tried to play Wendy at their own God awful hoof it game. My neck still hurts now. Their 'goal' shouldn't have stood from my view. And watching the replays over the shoulder of Don Goodman confirmed it. Tudgay then missed a sitter almost instantly, and Buzsaky (his only contribution) sent Cywka away but he also failed to notch. How weak is he, btw? And shows far too much of the ball when dribbling. Matt Done-esque he was. . Second half, Perkins and JOB were introduced to good effect. As I say, they should have started. Dawson had a stormer, as did Cranie - defensively. Davies was poor, and Tudgay fared little better, and amazingly I thought Harewood was decent when he came on. Still can't score though, but he certainly made an impact. We had half chances, a few good opportunities, but as ever we seemed loathe to stick it away. What was Stones doing when through late on? Foot through it, and he scores. Instead, he passed it back to Kirkland as though he played for them. All those backpasses to Steele taking their toll? . I didn't understand what Keith kept finding funny on the touchline. Literally laughing every time we fcukd up, he was. He got some right abuse at FT, from a few in the lower tier, and gazed at them smiling, until Jones shook his hand. Bizarre. . Awful game, awful tactics, awful ref, awful result, and atmosphere on the way out. Awful. . Time to go, Keith. I LAUDED you for 12 months. More fool, me. . Davis Tisdale Hassell.
I saw hill laughing which I thought was a strange reaction considering we were losing/lost the game. Weird
well if he was laughing at the end (and i do not doubt you for one minute) together with the things he said in chron it mkes me wonder if he is goading the board to sack him imo
To be fair the only person I dislike as much as Davey is my ex-wife, both of them money grabbing obnoxious ****s, that wanted me to **** off. I just had a thought though, maybe it was after meeting me they both turn out to be so ? In that case I no longer like myself!!
On what grounds Hassell for manager? Is it only on the grounds he's been here longest? If it is, I'd like to forward the club Chaplin...and the clubs cat as his no 2...
I just hope the board realise what league 1 means financially,we need an experienced manager at this level and the sooner the better for me.
