Just my take on the whole SD out/booing thing:

No matter what is going on we should support the team before and during the game. Afterwards is the time to make your feelings known. P*sses me off when I hear booing during the game, even though I sometimes understand why it is happening it still shouldn't happen. We are all meant to be in this together, we all want success for the club, but as a supporter (and therefore, outsider) all I can do to help us gain that success is to lend my SUPPORT. If you are not doing that then you are not playing your part. SD is the manager, so that is good enough for me. I am sure PC knows what he is doing, so if he thinks SD is the right man then I will accept that and get on with SUPPORTING the club.

There is far to much panic at the moment. We have had a poor start, but we did have a difficult start too and looking at the games we had I didn't expect us to be much better off than what we are now. I hoped at the start of the season that we could maybe finish top half but it was only a hope. Realistically I thought we could finish about 15th-18th, which I still think we will. Our recent form (since all the players returned) has been ok, lost 1 of last 4 with 2 clean sheets, and I have already seen some poor sides in the Championship so far this season so there is still plenty to play for. If we stay up then it is job done again by SD, that has got to be our basic aim of every season. We may have spent a couple of million in the summer but it is still smallfry compared to many in this division. We have moved forward as a club (better squad etc) but we have fallen behind relatively in the league. Can't blame SD (or PC) for that, we simply can't afford to do anything other than survive in this league. I am happy in this league though, best league in the world for competitiveness, and we don't get ripped off as badly as the fans of PL clubs, games never being played on a Saturday etc. I am happy being a Barnsley fan, probably because of all the problems we have rather than despite of them. When we do achieve something it makes it so much better.

Great post! Totally agree with everything you say! Unfortunately for this board it's usually the irrational and moronic that post the same old tired rubbish. Finally some logic and common sense!

good thoughts and very brave to pass such a positive point of view - I want our team to play good football and will take the bad days that will always come along and will take the 3 points or draw when we dont play well - if we had Capello in charge there would be numerous questions re his ability to manage - tactics - team selection etc - i hope last saturday was the dawning of a new day in team selection and a freedom where the players CAN attack freely but defend like a proper team - Howard has gone get over it - support the team not the past.
The comments from ocook and pramman are equally refreshing
there are a number of " commentators" on here who are quiet entitled to have their say, that doesnt go to matches on a regular basis either home or away or havent been in the ground for years , these individuals do more than their fair share of stiring things up.

have you noticed the lack of " action / response " from the keyboard warriors ?
im sure about 11.0 the usual suspects will be pouring torrents of abuse and quick wit and repartee at each other - wonder if they`ll be there at the bristol city match - wont say the fowls as thats an easy match to " attend "
oh - forgot to mention dysons mate is a trainee helicopter pilot
