European competition is brilliant and I love watching it. The later stages can get a bit tight but the quality players on offer is great, so why wouldnt it work full time?

Because as shown over recent years, even well supported European sides struggle to fill their grounds against lesser opposition, The group stages of the champs league get boring when you know who has qualified.

Alternatively Id think Old Trafford would be full against any of the english sides in the top 3 leagues. Its the strength of English football overall that means uefa will always watch us enviously and try and fragment it best they can, we have had former european champions banished to our third division due to a couple of dodgy seasons and Uefa dont want that, they want a sanitized no promotion or relegation, and we cant let that happen.

Both Uefa and FIFA are nobody corporations and the premier league would be fools to allow the top 6 to leave the best and strongest domestic league in the world, so Newcastle can play Aalborg, and probably loose, you reckon anyone would want to watch that?

They don't want fans to travel.

They want fewer teams. More local fans in the ground

    Bigger TV audiences.

They want you to be advertised at.
