Yeah pal...still couldn't fix it tho, left me a new box but looks like dish is knackered, I'm back at house next weekend so I can last till then.
good honest write up . highlight of my day was the few pints in redfearns bar . no highlights from the game but we can only get better
I agree with 90% of it. I don't get the Cranie dislike though. Giving Brown a better rating than Cranie yesterday is nothing short of ridiculous in my opinion. Cranie was one of our better performers. Only Dudgeon, Bailey & Hourihane could arguably be rated higher
Enjoyed reading, as per, mate. However, I hardly agreed with any of it, with regards to the match and players comments. Some of your criticism, in my opinion, of certain players in now guaranteed irrespective of how they play. It's your blog, though, so that's your prerogative.
It's not dislike, it's one bloke's opinion. You clearly hold a different one. Nowt ridiculous about it. I mean, I've read threads on here today that say he was faultless, a rolls royce, solid as a rock. I find it unbelievable that folk could say that about his display yesterday. Dunt mean I'm reight though. I am though. He was ****.
Aye, but your opinion of certain players is so positively cemented already, that you perceive me to be digging them out irrespective of how they perform. When in reality, I just think Cranie was **** yesterday. And Jennings. I gave Berry and Davies low marks too but I'm loathe to be as critical due to their lack of games/experience. I can't offer the same sanctuary for Cranie because he's on two, three and four times as much coin as most of his teammates, he's experienced, and he played **** in my opinion. So aye, he got a very generous five. But I think he'd be ideal as a holding midfielder, which I believe is his ideal position. Obviously though, I could well be wrong with my summary of Cranie, and indeed the match yesterday. But I've only got my own eyes, so I'll say what I see, not what folk want me to say or what someone would say if they really cared what others thought.. I'll gladly accept I'm probably wrong on every little detail regards each player, tactics and the game itself. Gladly. But I won't accept your aspersion that I'm being critical of certain players irrespective of how they play. It may seem like it to you, but it's unintended. I assure you of that. I would like to have praised Martin (and Dale) for yesterday, but they didn't in my opinion warrant it, and now I've read the threads from last night and today, I think most folk reckon both of them were poor yesterday. So as I say, no agenda here. Say what I see. Like Catchphrase. The one with Roy Walker, not the **** new version. And yes, as Bobby Brown once said, it's my prerogative. Glad you (and others) enjoyed it. And disagreed. You Reds.
Fair enough, Andy. To use your favourite saying, I'm only saying what I see with regards to your comments. You're entitled to voice your opinions and I always enjoy reading them, irrespective of whether I agree with them or not. But, by the same token, I'm entitled to express mine, which I've done. Just because I disagree with someone doesn't mean I dislike them. For example, I rarely agree with anything either Mr C or madmark say about football, but regard both as good friends. I'm certain the two of us won't fall out with one another simply because we hold different views on this. I still like you immensely and have the greatest respect for you.
Fancy a bum? It's all good, mate. I know I know nowt, but my fingers and my mind make me type things.
A good read Andy, I agreed with most of it. PS. I haven't heard anyone being called a plum for ages. It made me chuckle.
Size matters and I think it's fair to say I'm quite a bit bigger than you! I'm proud of the fact that I know nowt about football. There's always someone willing to educate me, though!
They are though. And cheers. I'm not going to be attending until the Donny game so it'd be nice if folk could do some reporting for me.
I don't know whether this applies to 442, but a lot of those who want to educate others on football matters seem to know even less than me!
