Not too bad a performance on Saturday. I thought we started with urgency and looked to exploit an average Bournemouth team down the wings. They quickly came wise to this and or got to grips with devaney and shuker. Full credit to them they defended well and we struggled to unlock their defence. We still created still though and had a couple of good efforts. We were denied a clear clear penalty when Hayes was chasing through only to have his shirt pulled in the box. Blatant penalty and it is these kind of decisions that really frustrate managers, players and fans - had it occured in the centre of the park then he would have given it. Then an excellent move led to a shuker cross for Richards to be left with a great chance which led to an even better save from their keeper. Absolute top class goalkeeping. 2nd half was much of the same but the opposion defended well - i was a bit disappointed to see Hayes taken off, he can create and they were playing so deep that we could have afforded to take off a defender and push nardiello in there with Richards and Hayes. It's a 7 horse race now and it looks as though one of the current top 6 will miss out with Oldham coming on so strong. I still think we will get in the play offs and deservedly so. I don't think anyone can argue we missed Burns yesterday - Howard and McPhail were very strong in the centre of midfield and look a real pairing , just hope we can keep McPhail next year as he looks twice the player he was last year. For all those moaning, I really can't see where you are coming from apart from sheer frustration. We have a very hard working unit and have exceeded expectations this year having lost only four times in near on thirty league games ~ from ten colgan - great save to get us a point from hayter who looked average 7 Aussie - aye not bad 6.5 Hecky - looked good going forward, played well 7 Kay - few ropey clearances but never hid 6 Reid - much better than recent weeks 7 Macca - quality in the centre of the park, also finds a few extra seconds, rarely mis-placed the ball 8 Howard - tackled well, drove forward and had a decent effort at goal 8 Devaney - Started well, few good balls, faded a little later on 7.5 Shukes - needs resting 6.5 Hayes - OK, should have been awarded a penalty 6.5 Richards - Good work rate but should have scored, denied by excellent keeping 7
