What people seem to forget is since the play offs and till the 1st game of the season, the club still has 'outgoings' and during the pre-season is still a large amount. You have wages of staff, relaying pitch, water costs for the vast amount needed for the turf, ground maintenance, and prob more than we can think of. We have very little 'income' during this time, and adding the outgoings to the debt we have (even if small) is still a significant sum to the club. Fair enough we prob got 500K from Flinders sale but that cash will go on other things aswell as the players. Signing players means signing on fees, agent fees etc, which all adds up. Im still confident players will come in, even if they havent come in sooner than I would have hoped. I had my doubts on GS, AR, and RH at the start of last season but I now have 100% faith in them and what they are working towards. No doubt they want us to stay in the 'championship' but they won't risk this by putting the long term future of the club in doubt. Fan base isn't massive for this club, and it never will be no matter how succesful we are. All we need to ensure is that the fans that we do have are on the clubs side, and avoid allot of the negativity that is coming out at the moment. Lets do our job by turning out in high numbers on Sunday, get down to the friendlies where poss, and loof forward to the season in 15 or so days. Lets leave AR and GS to sort the rest out!! Rant over!!!
