Went down to oakwell at about 9.45am ish. There was a queue all the way down the back of the ponty end. Alan Bloore was giving out raffle tickets. I was told when i got my ticket that i was approx 4 hours from front of queue. So if i wished, i could leave the queue, return in around 4 hours and my space would be saved and id rejoin the queue in the appropriate place. So thats exactly what i did. Returned to oakwell at about 1.15 ish and was let straight into box office, got my tickets and blackpool tickets. In and out in around 10mins. No fuss. Alan was also offering to take peoples phone numbers so he could ring them when there number was nearing the front of the queue. Sounds a good idea to me. As regarding these Sheff Weds tickets - They must simply be planning to open an extra till in box office im guessing. Today they end till was sellinog ONLY Sheff Weds, QPR and Blackpool away match tickets. Anybody wanting just those game(S) didnt have to queue at all, they were simply let in via club shop straight to that till point. Seemed to be doing well in a bad situation to me. Hats off to Alan Bloore and Peter Jones as well by the way, who i am sure will be doing there bit of helping out at no charge. (clap)
You won't get many replies ot this thread. By the way, I am going down on Wednesday morning. What time would you recommend getting there? Would half 8 be a reasonable time? Not too far back in queue? Could do with being free for the afternoon.
How Many Raffle Tickets Were Handed Out Today? Sounds more promissing, with the away till only (Y) (Y) (Y)
