Winnall has made it known he was leaving and although he's in form, we've cover that can step up. 18k per week - more fool Wendy's.

Hourihane can do better than Wednesday but again, money talks, cannot hold a grudge against a player who can secure his financial future and that of his family by one signature.

If the money we get brings in Bogle, Morsy, the lad from Chesterfield or similar then we have made the best of a tricky situation.

Paying 18k a week for squad players ends in Administration. Hopefully.

My biggest gripe is that Sheffield Wednesday cannot offer £18k a week, £800k a week or £8 a week until we accept an offer for the player. The club sells not the player

A lot of their fans reckon they'll be close to bust if they don't go up this season so hopefully Winnall will be made redundant once they **** up and ends up back at Scunny in League 1.

Come on, it's more complicated that the club saying no

The player has been open enough to say he's not signing a contract and I'm guessing he and his agent have been in dialogue for a while. It's a shame it's Wendy's but again more fool them paying over the odds.

Before we get all uppity, we're only in the same situation as Grimsby fans. We (localish rivals) want their best player which will kill their promotion hopes.

The situation isn't the same as we aren't in a fight with grimsby. We are not in the same league

It won't because it is not for increased wages. We cannot afford Morsy's wages so need him to agree a pay cut to come....

Or a good signing on fee to compensate for the lower wage structure...perhaps that is what the Winnall money will be used for .
