Seeing as everyone else is having a say. I would just like to point out first of all that I am not offering the perfect solution to the problems and issues. Personally, I think it's really really sad and disappointing more than anything else that the many of the club's supporters that hold season tickets and others who regularly attend both home and away miss out to some folk who haven't been since the Play-Off Final and the like. I cannot for the life of me understand why each season ticket holder gets two tickets - the club were always going to easily sell their allocation for this tie, it's clear for anyone to see. One each would probably have covered all the ST holders and all the people with say six or more ticket stubs from the season who wanted to go.
I am with you up until the last paragraph... 'I'm not having a go at anyone' if not I don't understand why not. The decision to make it two per ST is appaling and even though I'm not bothered about going I really feel for the 'huddled masses' that turn upgame after game who may have to miss out for people who haven't been since the play off final.
Why aren't you having a go at anyone? This is gross incompetence by the Club and they deserve all the flak they're going to get.
Not that it will make the slightest difference - they've got their money; job done.

The simple fact is the club dont give a **** about the fans or there wouldnt be this debacle. Two per ST means they sell out in a day and abit then they can go back to sitting in their offices drinking tea.
I'm not here to aportion blame that's all I don't know the full facts of the situation but it appears that things could have been done a little differently.
I know the facts the club have made a decision to allow anybody who happens to know a season ticket holder, regardless of whether they even support barnsley or not, first priority in a match where tickets are in high demand from SUPPORTERS. those are the facts
your spot on, my mate is taking a liverpool fan all be it one from wakefield, but he sure as hell doesnt support the reds.
I do agree with you, 2 tickets per ST is unfair on those fans without a ST. From my personal point of view, the fact it's 2 per ST has helped me out because I was hopign to take a 3rd party along with me anyway, but I do feel for those who won't be able to go.
RE: I know the facts As I said, it does disappoint me as I know a number of people who regularly go to games who have told me they won't be able to get a ticket, and it sounds as though some folk who only went in the Premiership and to finals have got tickets. Being disappointed is worse than angry (cryin)
Sorry Journo, I normally agree with what you post, but in this matter I feel the full facts are obvious and the club are responsible for creating an artificial shortage as far as season tickets are concerned.
No John, ...I was never that bothered anyway... but if they think I've got time to waste standing in a queue in the cold in February, when I've a practice to run and clients to seethey've another think coming.
Oh how much fun it will be to see th 'Redfearn' and 'Ward' shirts all with their 'Premier league' flashes on MOTD.
Have you been sucessfull ?

Yes, mate I'm a lucky one who will be attending the match. I'll be making a weekend of it in Manchester, so I'll be back in time for MOTD
