Steele - rush of blood in first half could have cost us but could do nothing about the goals, let down by defence
Mclaughing (sp) - got tore a new 1 before getting injured
Ramage and Crainie - forming a good partnership but always had 2 much pressure put on them as wigan strolled through the midfield and down our right
Kennedy - first action was to always go back towards our goal, forward passes regularly went out for a throw
    Obrien - yep
Frimpong - clearly doeant want to be here, improved in 2nd half
Woods - see kennedy, offered no creativity
Jennings - getting better, only plus of the first 11 but cant do it alone
Ogrady - don't know if he went into the game injured or picked 1 up but looked strangely subdued, worrying if he has given up
Prostwich (sp) - may come alive in the box, but offers absolutely nothing if he doesn't get it in the area, which he didn't

Nyatanga - was poor but hard to be critical with so little game time
Shea - still no idea what this guy offers to us or football in general
Paddy - couple of good runs and through balls but was quickly sussed by wigan and taken out by what seemed a pretty cynical foul missed by the ref, ineffective after

First half one of the worst ive seen for quite awhile from the reds, devoid of passion, hard work and belief, should though have gone 1 up but obrien choked with a free shot a few yards out. 2nd half was a little better and with more composure we could have had 1 or 2 but to be fair wigan were in cruise control by then.
Many are saying saturday is a must win, but if last night is anything to go by we dont have enough in the squad to get the points to stay up regardless of saturday. Hopefully i'm wrong but its looking ominous. We have to hope danny is capable of producing a team that can challenge for promotion next season as staying up seems beyond us imo.
Ah well at least we may get a chance to get a fabled colchester stub.
    You reds

Finding it difficult to disagree with any of that.

Seems I'm marginally more optimistic about our survival, but only marginally! First half last night was the worst I've seen us this season, hoping it's a blip and it's definitely unfortunate that we've played Wigan at the wrong times. We need to be more positive though, home and away. Nowt to lose now.

    Kennedy had another good game.
O'grady will be off in the summer most likely to a championship club.
O'brien can sit on the bench for all i care. (trash)
Steele needs to use his voice. Crainie is worrying to clear the ball or leave it for Steele with those long balls they put through.
There seems to be a lack of communication between defence and Steele. Then again it's been like that since last season.
