Flitcroft to his credit has come up with a system different to Hill. I feel he is too close to Hill yes to give himself a shot at the job but playing 3 centre halves basically makes up for us not having 2 good enough to play together, golbourne and stones could get forward more and we played well today I thought. Unfortunately we showed the same old weaknesses, not capitalising on our good play, golbourne and dagnall missed sitters and Dawson, Perkins and o'brien all missed shots from the edge of the box. The goal was lucky but rose did well to get in and put it away. Of course we were playing v ten men but I'd just like to say a massive well done to all involved for getting a result in difficult circumstances and that must be good for morale, which is why it's always worth trying in the cup.
I hope Flicker is retained in some capacity. He seems to be respected by the players, and is obviously well able to motivate them.
I've not been (a personal protest against the current state of BFC)..............BUT.........I am "pleased as punch" we have won and when I heard Danny Rose had scored on Radio Sheff, my shouting will have caused a stir with the neighbours! Can only be good for players, fans, new manager and club as a whole. COME ON YOU REDS
