My thoughts on today:- i thought the first half was a mixed bag. i believe that it was pretty even but we sat off rovers and let them come at us too much, we should have got in their face early doors. i thought the penalty was the right decision but i also thought the referee was inconsistent with his decisions and booking of players. one major concern is our insistance on back chatting and getting booked, i've lost count of how many bookings for dissent we've had this year. i think the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half is the worst we played this season the players didn't seem interested and i believed rovers wouldscore again andother than moore bringing down the striker, the would have, i believe. i believe being down to 10 men galvanised us and we out in our best spell of football in ages, thanks in no small part to campbell-ryce. i think that simon daveyis still not the man to take this club forward. when we were losing he wasstilland motionless, once we drew level he was shouting and encouraging, other people may disagree but i think we need more encourgement when losing. i still have no confidence in davey but will coninue to offer my full whole hearted support to the team, after all i've been at oakwell long before davey arrived and will be long after he's gone. all in all happy to get 3 points and shove it up donny however this is only 1 tinystep in the right direction, lets hope we can make afew more in the coming weeks.
If I read you right then the team are more than good enough to play the kind of football that the fans desire but they lack a certain motivation, and only when something such as a sending off p1sses them off enough do they finally pull their socks up and start trying.
