1st half was a very good away performance where we actually counter attacked as a team, Hume, JCR, Anderson and Devaney were all attacking at pace rather than just the normal long ball to a man on his own and the defence Daren Moore in paticular were solid against there long ball tactics.
Best players for us were Moore and Kozluk who once again showed why he is probably our best full back for a long time.
Would still have liked to see us come out and continue how we played in the first half but we ended up dropping deeper and deeper and eventually there goal came.
On the subject of Macken he played well for 60 mins, 2nd goal was a real poachers effort first one i wasn't sure if he hit the volley or the volley hit him on its way through so i cant really say but he was credited with it so fair play to him. Would have just liked to have seen him replaced after an hour as he was knackered and keeping him on for 87 mins limited our attacking options in the final third of the game, overall he played really well and obviously i hope he can carry it on into next week - do i think he is good enough to score 10-15 goals in the championship, no im afraid not.
1 other thing i want to mention is whilst at the game yesterday i was getting messages off of people on here saying that others are abusing you over past comments, no offence but i think that is taking the piss a bit. If people have got a problem then why not say it to my face or do it when i am online rather than do it when they know i am in london and unable to reply. This is a board for peoples views to be aired on all bfc matters no matter how they see things not for childish name calling, hope you enjoyed it yesterday anyway.
Did anyone else aqua plane all the way home by the way?

Abusing or having some light hearted fun? I'd go for the latter mate. No abuse directed at you what so ever, just the kind of banter you'd expect when you say a striker who should retire scores his third goal in two games. All part of being a football fan.
Well on that point as you was aware that i was one of those as one of your mates who gave me stick about not being at the game wasn't actually at the game aswell. As i said to him to tell you is that i have a young un on the way and my money is more important towards him than anything else. All i said was, and i'm man enough to admit it was "**** you bfcbub" when Macken got his second and so there was no childish namecalling or abuse. The same Macken that should retire. I hope you saw the goals on the Championship now to have a better look. We then went 3-0 to the same team that you said that we would lose to, no doubt about it. Probably my passion towards BFC that got the better of me at the time. Its just that all posts over the last few weeks from you regardless of the upturn in form have been SO negative and it was just a case of "HAVE THAT" towards you But finally i see a post from you that does actually praise the team, and no Davey out comment so things are looking up
Still not confident with Davey in charge but we have picked valuable points up so i cant really call for his head after this, still think we will finish bottom 6 or 7 though. Yesterday was a quality away performance and that cant be taken away from the team
Sorry mate but you asked for the stick you got and the thread will likely find its way back to the top every time Macken has a positive impact. "i wasn't sure if he hit the volley or the volley hit him on its way through" Glad it was a good game though
For some reason i thought devaney had hit the volley i even started texting my old man with 1-0 devaney when they announced it as macken!! At least Miguel got on though, nearly scored as well!!
If you keep mistaking Devaney for Macken, it would explain why you think Macken should retire. Specsavers springs to mind.
That must be easily done. My dad does the same when we are kicking the opposite road. If your eyesight isn't clever and you're relying on shirt numbers, 25 and 21 can easily get confused.
I'll have a bet with you If Jon Macken starts in 36 games he will score more than 10. Let's have a tenner on it.
Who me? What do you want to bet, that my dad mistakes Macken for Devaney at least 10 times this season. I think he already has!
