ROBINSON - had nothing to do yet NEVILLE - best full back in the country by a long way FERDINAND - not had much to worry him yet TERRY - playing well A COLE - doing ok BECKHAM - awful, not passing or crossing to his ability, can't beat anyone, set pieces are poor GERRARD - awful, poor passing & shooting is terrible LAMPARD - not had a good game yet J COLE - playing well with no help from anybody else in the midfield CROUCH - doing well but with owen not contributing has to go looking for the ball OWEN - why is he playing? terrible CARRAGHER - just isn't a full back, no attacking option at all DOWNING - done ok without shining LENNON - my player or the tournement so far! looked dangerous for 20 minutes ROONEY - not fit enough yet ERIKSSON - one good substitution, bringing lennon on,
Mine... ROBINSON - Looks dodgy when he's had anything to do, but thats probably because he's barely had the ball. NEVILLE -AWFUL against Paraguay, didn't play against T & T. FERDINAND - Solid, but poor distribution. TERRY - Excellent. A COLE - People say he's a brilliant attacking full back, but he gets to the edge of the opponents penalty box, shits himself, and just hoofs it hopefully into the box. BECKHAM - Generally disappointing, but the fact is he has the assist for every goal we've scored. GERRARD - Shooting is apparently terrible, despite his 25 yard screamer of a goal. Being restricted by having to sit and cover for Lampard. LAMPARD - Very disappointing, but getting into decent positions. J COLE - Played well against Paraguay but had no ideas whatsoever against T & T, constantly shooting straight at the defender half a yard infront of him. CROUCH - Good in first half against Paraguay, poor in the second. Poor in the first half against T & T, better in the 2nd. OWEN - We won't win this tournament unless he starts scoring goals. He's getting closer to sharpness, and should start against Sweden instead of the booked Crouch. CARRAGHER - Solid wherever he's played, but is mainly a centre back. Should be first choice if we lose Terry or Rio. DOWNING - Poor against Paraguay but mainly because there was no point in bringing him on. Did well against T & T. LENNON - Was very good when he came on, but you can't be player of the tournament after playing 20 minutes. ROONEY - We need him. Fact. ERIKSSON - Terrible substitutions against Paraguay, good changes against T & T.
RE: Mine... ROBINSON - Hasn't condeded a goal yet but thats more down to the quality of opposition. Hasn't looked convincing when called upon. 5/10 NEVILLE - Crap in 1st game injured in 2nd 4/10 FERDINAND - looks comfortable but lumps forward too many hopeless long balls 6/10 TERRY - Best centre back in world at the moment, rock solid 9/10 A COLE - not at his best. 2 very average performances 5/10 BECKHAM - our most reliable supply of goals. 7/10 GERRARD - Wasted in holding role, needs to be given more freedom to push forward. Our most talented midfielder. 6/10 LAMPARD - Utter ***** both games. Wasted several good chances. Should be dropped for carrick to allow Gerrard to get forward more. 3/10 J COLE - Most creative midfielder but drifts inside too much instead of giving us width. Good dribbling at times but it let down by lack of movement up front. 6/10 CROUCH - Awkward to defend against but also unconvincing in front of goal. Scored vital header at least. didn't do robot! 6/10 OWEN - ***** fitness, ***** movement, ***** 1st touch, ***** finishing. 1/10 CARRAGHER - awful distribution against T&T, wasnt really tested defensively 4/10 DOWNING - don't especially rate him but he does at least provide width. 6/10 LENNON - Excellent sub to have running at a tired defence. looking very promosing 8/10 ROONEY - Didn't do much when he came on but his presence alone is enough to scare defences. 6/10 ERIKSSON - Isn't getting the most out of the team & midfield is unbalanced. Time to be brave & drop Lampard and bring in a holding midfielder. 5/10
end of day, two wins, 6pts, next round guarenteed. always play better when it matters(except vs portugal and brazil) and have enough quality to do very well
