I've just about calmed down from yesterdays dissapointment........ Lets look at the positives: 1. We are NOT in the bottom 3 (currently) 2. We don't have key injury worries (apart from Hume) 3. We still have a game in hand on Norwich and Forrest. 4. We currently have a better Goal Difference than Forrest & Saints 5. Forrest have injuries to key players e.g. Ian Turner, Nathan Tyson & Rob Earnshaw (plus will also miss Kelvin Wilson through suspension). The their the negatives: 1. Over complicated tactics, leave us with no width and no idea. 2. Not playing to ours strengths and key players in their best positions e.g. JCR 3. Key players out of comfidence and out of form e.g. JCR, Muller & Macken 4. Decision making by all players has been poor. 5. Finishing has been abysmal all season long...... As for the run in, no one of the relegation contenders has an easy ride. We have Reading (A), Coventry (A), Wolves (H) & Plymouth (A). Of those games I feel Reading will be the toughest as they have the most at stake, others will hopefully have already confrimed their fate and may have eyes on next season (Wolves will hopefully have claimed title, and Coventry / Plymouth are virtually safe). Other teams run is as follows: Norwich - Reading (A), Ipswich (H) & Charlton (A) Forrest - Coventry (H), Blackpool (A) & Southampton (H) Southampton - Owls (A), Burnley (H) & Forrest (A) If we play to our strengths, and play players who are up for the fight I feel we will have a chance. I would rest both Muller & JCR, both out of form yet appear to have become undroppable. Personally against Reading I would play 4-5-1. With Boggy as the lone striker, Devaney and Hammill on the wings, central trio of Anderson, Andranik & Colace, Hassell, Foz, Souza & Koz at the back and Steele in goal. Steele Hassell, Foz, Souza, Koz Devaney, Colace, Anderson, Andranik, Hammill Boggy Subs: Muller, Moore, JCR, Mifsud, KO I feel Moore and Muller for all the good they do, in pressure games such as these can be clamatus...... Souza deserves a chance as does Steel in goal. JCR hasn't played that well for some time now. You could blame fatigue (having played for Jamaca etc) but I feel its mainly due to central position he is being asked to play...... Its like when we played football back at school and (SD is ) the PE teacher who always plays talented kid in the middle so everything went through them..... the problem is SD's school boy tatics lead to schoolboy errors. We must play a simple attacking formation, I do not feel draws will not do we need to go for the win.
Norwich have Reading at home Big difference that with their home support and Reading's current form, much more likely to take points off Reading than us. I'm panicking big time now, I think we're in a worse situation than 2 seasons ago.
A lot of ifs and buts mate. The game in hand against Coventry is a massive "if". I cant see us getting anything against either Reading or Coventry if im honest. One of either Forest or Norwich to finish above us is my bet and Davey to finally to be shown the door.
davey just does not intsill confidence in his players, his tactics are inept, he's probably read Spackmans book on 'how to motivate a team' which includes playing fecking whale music before the kick off to calm them down, instaed of getting them up and fighting from the start... HE HAS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!! & NOW!!!!!!!!
Correct. Forest were in the same predicament as us against Bristol City - 2-0 down - They managed to win the game 3-2. When do we ever come back from even a goal down???
OK then, let's look at the 'positives' 1. We are NOT in the bottom 3 (currently)
On goal difference ie by the skin of our teeth
2. We don't have key injury worries (apart from Hume)
But we're suffering a major loss of form and confidence by key players
3. We still have a game in hand on Norwich and Forrest.
But that game is away at Coventry where we have a history of losing 4-1
4. We currently have a better Goal Difference than Forrest & Saints
But we won't if they keep picking up points and we don't
5. Forrest have injuries to key players e.g. Ian Turner, Nathan Tyson & Rob Earnshaw (plus will also miss Kelvin Wilson through suspension).
But they played at Bramall Lane with 10 men for 75 minutes and got a point.

The reality is - we're going down. We're the club going backwards when everyone else is going forwards.

Got to agree with the school teacher ****** Mick Wadsorth was our team manager when i was at school and guess who played the JCR ROLE. The one and only David Hirst. we had a good team then and Hirsty played a year above HIS year,he was that good.Willowgarth high.
Norwich-Reading live on Sky Monday evening .... My concern is that, with the game being deferred for tv coverage, it might be that Reading find themselves in a position of knowing they cannot get automatic promotion and will be playing for the play-offs. That might have a big effect on their attitude. It's a double-whammy for us. If we should beat them, they might be out of range of automatic promotion, so Norwich stand a better chance. If they beat us on the other hand, the opposite could be true. We might lose both ways! On the other hand, the Ipswich boo-boys are out in force and I think that Magilton's job will become untenable if Ipswich lose at Portman Road to their biggest enemies. It will be interesting to see if the players will support their manager, or their playing pals from Norwich! I can see an Ipswich win, or draw at best for Norwich,
or 8 vinny just gutted after yesterday.the one and only supporters team would pull it off , that am sure.
