Since I moved into new house I have had a few heating problems.

Already had to replace pump - 150 notes

So was not impressed with heating control problem which has persisted since we moved in.

Bought & fitted a new programmable thermostat in room and a new tank stat as the hot water was constantly boiling. and not shutting off.

Replaced the stat & still problem persisted.

Sick of subsidising crap plumbers so I spent all this morning tracing the wiring out and establishing the system set up.

Unbelievably I found a link which effectively bypassed the tank stat. It has obviously been in place since the system was installed, badly, fourteen years ago.

I cannot believe that the former owner put up with (and paid for) constantly boiling the water for 14 years. Proper FFS.

    anyway sorted now....hopefully.
