Are we so certain in our relelgation gloom?

You know i am just as guilty as anyone as i am certain we are on our way down, but then i took a look at the remaining fixtures and.................

A lesson to be learned there that we should be less hasty in our negativity. I have been looking at the last 3 games for us all, and 4 for Barnsley and you know what, i would not want to be them.

Let's look at our remaining games and let's be really very honest. Wednesday away is winnable for sure so let's say 3 Points. Burnley at home is very winnable too, so lets say 3 Points again. Notts Forest away is less than easy and at best i think a point.

So being really honest and a little hopeful i think we can get 7 points, leaving us on 51.

Now for Forest's last 3 games, Home to Coventry, have to say they can and should win, so 3 points. Away to Blackpool who by then may not feel 100% safe, draw, 1 point. Home to Saints, so a draw, and 1 more points giving Forest 5 more and also 51 for the season, but us having won two could mean our goal difference is now better than theirs, but we cant be certain of that yet.

Barnsley, they have an awful run in with, Reading away, 0 Points Coventry away, they could win, but i figure will only draw, Home to Wolves, again 0 Points, and on the last day they have; A trip to Plymouth, lets be nice and say they win that one fighting. Even then i can see them getting no more than 4 points, total for them 50 and below us.

That leaves Norwich, and they line up with Ipswich in a very heated derby this weekend, cant see them winning but they could get a point. The week after they are at home to Reading, again i can see them getting a point out of that also, and then on the last day they have a trip to already relegated Charlton, and surely again this is a very tough ask of them to win? I can see Norwich perhaps only getting 3 points from their last 3 games, leaving them like Barnsley on 49 points, and leaving us and Forest safe.

I know there are too many if's and buts, least of all can Saints get 7 points? Well yes i think they can, but if they don't, then we have to look at these figure above and say, realistically we need at least 6 points to stay up if my other assumptions are correct.

Stay up or go down, it is gonna be one of the most exciting finishes to a season ever. But only if we win this weekend and next to set up that crucial last minute crunch with Forest. Either one of us could be down by then, making it all a bit flat at the end of the day, although if they are down and we are safe on that morning before the game i don't care how flat it is.

Just look at Soton's run in - Wednesday away - Nil Point, Burnley at Home may scrape a point, Forest away - cagey draw another point..plus if there's any feckin chance they will survive with their ***** goal difference, the league come in with a fat 10 point deduction.

    Southampton will beat Wednesday

For the last few months it's seemed that the Sheffield clubs don't win when we want them to

We have the hardest run in, so he's right

I go back to what I said prior to the Forest game, not winning that means we are in the **** big time. If we stay up, it will be against the odds.
