He's strapped up the wrong knee. Basics.

Can't stand Nadal... an opening day straight sets defeat for him would more than make up for the cricket teams slip against India yesterday

Thought it was disrespectful to Darcis how many excuses BBC were coming up with for the win. If Nadal was as injured as BBC made him out to be he'd have asked for the trainer and a medical time out. I think his defeat is more down to complacency than anything. He thought he could go straight from clay to the biggest tournament of the year without a warm up grass event so pulled out of Halle stating exhaustion as the reason. It's not like he was playing at Eastbourne last week. He'd have still had a week to rest between Halle and Wimbledon. Now he's gone out in the 2nd round last year and backed it up with his first ever major 1st round defeat this year you can bet next year he will make sure he does Halle (as he doesn't do Queens anymore due to the high tax pay).
