Do you have to wear a name badge at work? If you don't and your boss asked you to, would you have a problem with it?
Carte Blanche for weirdos To get the name of a female member of staff and start on a tirade of stalking and inappropriate behaviour.
That's what it said on my charge sheet anyway.

Absolutely. I wore one for 12 years at B&Q. Got so much abuse and threatening calls from gangs of shoplifters I ended up refusing to wear it.
Also, crank refunders - officially "prrof of purchase" can be a contact name at the point of purchase. The amount of times people would turn up without a receipt for high valued goods only to come out with "I spoke to Andy" Grrrrrrr

Wherever I've worked Lasses have hated wearing them. In all seriousness I can see their point. Some f.cknut has your name ? balls to that.
does it have to be your name or can you use a pseudonym. I used to work for a german company and we all had to have new overalls, they were coming from Germany when the German manager was asked why they had to go to Germany for them he said British companies couldn't match the quality when they arrived half the name badges were upside down , so much for German quality.
We have to wear an ID badge (with name and photo on) When I worked at Asda Head Office we had ID badges which were then replaced with the same type of name badges they wore in the store, I refused to wear that as I didn't see how it was an adequate ID badge just containing your first name.....and I wasn't "Happy To Help"!
