Nardiello must have one of those players to put plenty of graft in training, but same graft as Christensen's training on match days.

biggest waste of talent - but also very unfortunate with injuries

We had him on and off for 4 years and we never got 1 full season out of him. Ability wise he's as good as someone like David Nugent and better than Kevin Phillips.

Are you on drugs? He's not a patch on Phillips ...

.... even if he was 100% fit all his career, or Nugent for that matter but he's not in the same league as Phillips

In terms of natural ability Nardiello IS beter than Phillips.

Nads started at Man U. Phillips started his career non league.
I'm not saying Nads is a better player. Far from it. I'd much rather have Philips. Philips isnt the most naturally gifter player, where as Nads was blessed with natural ability. Injuries and mental attitude has meant that Nads will forever play in the lower leagues. Where as Phillips has worked at what he had.

This comparison is based on pure skill. Nothing else. Phillips couldnt score some of the goasl that Nads scored against Leeds or Southend.

    Your joking right?

I seem to remember Phillips scoring a volley for Sunderland, 30 yards out, top corner job. Technique was impeccable. Nardiello could never do that.

How does the level a player starts out at...

have any bearing on the ultimate level of a player's skill and technique? Some players just don't get discovered or developed until later.

Some Sunday League players have scored cracking goals

Some maybe better than the best players in the world - it doesn't make them have more skill does it?

Phillips won the Golden Boot award one year, yet somehow Nardiello possesses more skill?

i thought nardiello started out at wolves, then moved to man utd?

just because a bloke in a suit from man utd think nards had something and was stupid enough to sign him,
doesnt mean he has talent, skill or ability it means he showed potiental. he wasted that opportunity, man utd gave up and set him to us.
then we thought well hes got potenial maybe a good stint in barnsley and we will get him to play.
he wasted that opportunity. he the thought i will get some cash and move to QPR, failed and came running back to us to fail again.
My money is on him failing at blackpool.
he scores goals because he knows where the bottom cornor is, to stay as close to them as possible.
    he's lazy.
phillips is an all round team player who works hard with more natural talent in his toe that nards has ever shown.
thats why he has been classed as on of englands best players for over tens years

i think you're all missing my point

Kevin Philips is not that skilful. He works hard, is quick and as an eye for goal. He has profited from playing with players like Nial Quinn.

Nardiello is more skilful in terms of what he can do with the football but lacks passion, drive, sharpness, whatever else you want to call it to compete at a high level.

Had Nadiello not gone to QPR and started last season off in the same way as he finished the season before he would be playing for a team like Pompey or Everton. Didnt Pompey show a bit of interest when he was in great form? They are bigger teams that Philips played for. A failed stint at Aston Villa doesnt count.

how many times have you watched phillips in the flesh? not as skillfull? his touch is second to none! Nards isnt a good player hes a baby liner who sticks it in the net.

You are not trying to tell us that phillips has been one of the best goal scorers of the last 10 years becasue he played with good players, and has less ability than a stricker who cannot get into a team that cannot score goals ie us.

i didnt say Nads was a good player

I dont think he is a good player. Philips is twice the player he is. I'm saying Nads was blessed with more natural ability.

Jimmy White has more natural ability than Steve Davis but who is the better player?

    natural ability

    for what?

to be idle?, injured?, stand on waiting for a chance to run behind defenders??

    **** me, you are barmy.

Nardiello was not fit to lace Mike Sherons booits let alone KP's

wasnt steve davies the youngest ever world champion ever? possible natural ability.
The point is nonsence. just think it is insulting and bit disrespecting to phillips to say he isnt as naturally talented as nards.
based on nothing more that a few flashs of talent from a second rate player.
Phillips is 34 years has shown season after season skills that nards cant show 2 halfs in row.

    A) Kevin Phillips has more natural ability in his 3rd toe on his left foot than Nardiello possesses.

    B) Nardiello wouldn't have carried on like that, he would have had a contract.

    C) Pompey bigger than Sunderland???
