Rumour is that Preston North End are in for Nardiello for about £200k - dunno how true it is but the Preston lads here are adamant it's correct don't know where they are getting their info from - think there is something in their paper about it as well but that means nothing. Again, don't know how true but they are convinced they are losing Nugent next week so want a replacement.
RE: I'd snap their hand off...... agreed. he may well be the best finisher at the club, but if he put in half as much effort as ricco and hayes does he wouldn't be struggling for a place in side(when fit). think everyone kinda bums him cos he had 2 decent loan spells and the fact that he came from man utd! well i say 2 decent loan spells, more like 1 and 1/4-only started playing well in last loan spell when ritchie took temporary charge!
RE: I'd snap their hand off...... Yep i'd let him go too. He's never really had a good run in the team and cant see him getting one either. It would also allow another striker to come in hopfully with experience.
You're sick! You can't be genuine! Sell a striker? WTF? Nardiello is an excellent striker and worth at least £500,000 - he's a big game player who scores vital goals when the pressure is on. He's a very good finisher and we need him now more than ever. We don't need to be selling strikers, we need to be buying them. I'd seriously doubt this rumour was true.
"He's never really had a good run in the team" ..... .... correct ..... cos no fecker will pick him, and he's now injured. Give the lad a decent chance when he's fit. We'd still be playing the likes of Port Vale and Cheltenham without his play-off goals - very short memories some folk on here. Apart from that we need to sign a striker not sell one .... if it's true we should tell preston to **** off
RE: "He's never really had a good run in the team" ..... I think Nards is more suited to this league.
RE: "He's never really had a good run in the team" ..... not being funny but if shuker wasnt so poor in first leg against huddersfield, and subsequently dropped for Hayes in second, Nads wouldnt even have started Its all very well being the most natural finisher we have, but that isnt enough alone. Look at Defoe last night-Yes he may be nearest thing to owen we have, but never got involved or look like trying to get involved. Same with all the top strikers-they work hard as well as having talent.
Lets get it right ... Shuker was ***** from Christmas ...... .... and some of the best finishers in the game have been idle barstewards ....... can't remember the likes of Clive Allen and Ian Rush towing their bag art to help the team, but were always in the right place at the right time when it mattered .... hard work and good finishing do not always go together
RE: Lets get it right ... Shuker was ***** from Christmas ...... maybe. just don't think nads is worthy of a start ahead of ricco and hayes at moment. still think AR needs to concentrate on tightening that defence at mo-all this talk of 'striker problems' seems to have covered all that up! Get Brent Sancho in- powerful strong and experienced- just like Carbon, only less injury prone!! Oh and Shuker's form defo dipped in new year-at one stage him and devaney looked knackered, but some how disco managed to get through it. but remember, shuker's 7 or so goals he got before xmas were very important in getting us into/staying in play-offs
RE: DID Nardiello help us win at Cardiff??? true, but how bad was his free kick? and equally, how bad was Gueret's wall?!
Add a bit to that and you'd get Sam Parkin I know which one I'd have. Hope he proves me wrong, but he's been here a while now, and is still living off his debut performance.</p>
RE: Add a bit to that and you'd get Sam Parkin thanfully anotehr one who makes sense. i also seem to think he thinks he's better than the other strikers if that makes anysense
