Great to see the like of O'Brien and Gray improve under KH, but I can't help but think how dissapointing it has been to see the decline of Doyle. He was so influential last season I even wondered if he would be captain. The Doyle of last year would have made big diffence to current squad, but he has looked a mere shadow of that this term. Is there any way back for him?

Would be great to see him back and playing as we know he can! send Addison back, and look to bring in a attacking midfielder on loan e.g. Mellis (Chelsea), Norwood (Man U), Korey Smith (Norwich) or Howard (Reading)

Shame he wasn't in the team on Sat, at half time we were saying he must have been watching that game wondering why on earth he wasn't playing

Given he was talked up in teh week but then a bairn was on the bench in front of him and we then witenessed Perkins and Addison contribute nowt I'd guess no.

To be honest i don't think he's looked bad when he's played this year. He struggled early on with the short passing game but I thought he was growing in to the style of play and had a great game against (I think it was) Coventry. I think the issue at that stage was Drinkwater, Perkins and Butterfield were playing so well he wasn't going to be first choice.

I can only think something has happened. Given we don't have two of the above as options and he still isn't getting a game then there is obviously a problem. He is certainly good enough and would improve the squad, if not the team

I think the issue is exactly what you have said; Those three were making the midfield berths their own and that meant Doyle could not getteh games he wanted and I think that is where the problem came. Hill has previously said that he wants games.

He's a better player than Addison.

I think I have a more positive view of Addison than you but I agree I prefer Doyle. I imagine he didn't make his point in the best possible way to Hill or he would have been brought back in when Drinkwater got injured against Ipswich

if he starts to win the ball passes then moves forward to give the bloke he's just passed to a option, then yes he would get a shirt again but its never going to happen so no.

I honestly can't see any future for him with us; surely if there was then he would have been in Keefs plans on Saturday.
