i live in the USA and my us wife was disgusted, when we told our friends last night during a party they also were all upset and disgusted by nbc.

so much so a letter was drafted and email sent to NBCs top man to explain there actions.(it helps having an attorney from the department of justice in your corner).

when a reply is sent i will update all on why nbc decided to do this.

It was one of the highlights for me, I was a stone's throw away from that number 30 bus and found the tribute very moving particularly the memoriam montage of victims photos and the beautifully sang Abide With Me. I would have thought better of a major network, particularly with constant sensetivities of 9/11.
