Given that my aeriel has fallen off my roof and I can't get cable cos they won't dig up the road

What is my best bet for my money.

I currently spend £42 per month for phone including line rental and internet and £30 per month on the "cinema" and block buster

So for £60 to £70 per month I want my telly, broadband, movies and phone sorting. And I want HD telly.

Not bothered particularly about footy - but would be a bonus

So what's the best way of getting all these?

You spend £42 per month on line rental and internet?

That's a hell of a lot. I pay £20 for line rental, 10 meg internet (although in reality I only get 4 due to distance from the exchange) and all my calls are free, even calls abroad. Tiscali.

    Current thinking is...

    Free Sat

    Love Film

    Talk Talk

I reckon I can do all these for the budget but would be interested in other recommendations.

For interest. Distance from exchange may not be most important factor (especially with Tiscali). I recently moved from Tiscali to the Post Office for calls and broadband and get much faster speeds even though both use the same carrier to the exchange. Much fewer folk using the Post Poffice I guess.

Free Sat OK but not much hd. Love Films - have they got lots on blue-ray (assuming you've got a player). Check out the Post Office for calls and broadband - Talk Talk ok anyway.

    To be honest

I have no problem with the 3-4 meg I get. I get the same download speed 24-7-52, Web pages load instantly, on-line TV is good quality with no pausing, I can download mp3s in seconds and they are about the biggest files I download. I've had Tiscali years now and I've never once had to call customer services. It just works. And at £20 per month for line rental + internet + free calls I doubt I could get cheaper anywhere else. I don't think I would change even if I could. Why ditch a service that has absolutely no problems?
