I am planning to buy either a PS3, XBox 360 or Wii as a "joint" Xmas present for me and the missus. I want a system that she will enjoy (She would really enjoy the interactive games like Rock Band, Wii Fit or similar). I really like games like PES, car racing etc. What do you all recommend????

    TIA

I own a Wii and while they are better multiplayer systems they lack in graphics and games.
For example there are more games out for the Xbox and Ps3 than the Wii.
And that numchuck controller really gets annoying after abit.
Xbox seems to be the most updated thing going and you can pick them up for around £130..

All three consoles have different appeals so it depends on personal opinion/choice.

More games so chances are you'll find some you both like. And half price of the ps3 but not far behind in quality.

Pick them up reasonably cheaply and has a good back catalogue of games - is looking more down the casual gamer side at the moment - Rock Band , Lips, Scene It , in the movies - great range of hard core games with Gears 2 being the pick at the moment. Would recommend Fable II

If it's for everyone - the Wii is definately the way to go. Everyone has a go at that - my mum, my wife, my father in law... everyone.

X-box 360 and PS3 are hardcore gaming machines.

    Get the 360

With Fallout 3 for yourself. And a game like scene it or at the movies.
