Can you recommend some airlines, please? For Southampton away from Glasgow/Edinburgh:

    Easyjet - no flights
    BA - £131.40
    Ryanair - no flights
    BMI Baby - no flights

Taxi or bus won't be too expensive...hopefully!!

I used to live down there, but moved away when I was 10 so I have absolutely no idea how to get around Southampton.

www.flybe.com run both routes but fare is still over a ton.

Left it too late to be booking a cheapo - need at least 3-4 months (preferably 5-6) lead time to get the cheap fares.

    Sounds cheap

    Good idea!

I forgot to factor the price of a hotel, ticket, and food/beer into the equation. So I need slightly more than before, oops.

It seems to cost a big fortune for me

Especially when it's the other side of bloody Britain. I need to move.
