Need some free simple image cropping software

    Paint not good enough cos i cant seem to have multiple images open at once. Just need to be able to crop and resise. Anyone know any simple freeware

    You need to check they were multi-image capable

    But PhotoFiltre and Irfanview are likely free candidates.

    thanks. think i've heard of irfanview (but not the others). I'll have a search. Need it to manipulate some screenshots for putting in an online guide.

    Used it before and was really good -can be downloaded for free. Highli recommended by Computer Active!</p>

    It's great

    But simple it ain't. </p>

    It will do the required job though. Although using such a formidable image editor for cropping and resizing smacks of using a Challenger tank to go hunting rabbits!</p>

    Irfanview is not able to open multiple images simultaneously, although it has forward and back buttons for easy navigation of images contained in the same folder. At any rate I haven't quite worked out why the OP needs multi-image for simple cropping and resizing.

    got irfanview and it seems to do the trick. One thing that will really come in useful is the ability to capture only the active window as a screenshot (although i suspect they all do this)

    Irfanview will also handle batch processing

    which can save you a load of time.
