Haven't drank in town before a match in quite a while.

    Where's best to go?

Not bothered about what's served, I'll drink lager/ale/owt.

Just want a good atmosphere, preferably wi some pis$ed up tarn fans having a sing.

    Cheers in advance!

I usually pop into the Outpost for a pint before the game but its shut down for now so haven't a clue where we're going to head for now. The Sun or The Mount are looking likely.

On the rare occasion that I go drinking before a game, I usually have a few pints in Bramahs, followed by a few in Chennels.

Get into the centre. Mount has shocking choice and the sweat dropping into the pints isn't a help.

Can get good pints for under or £2.50 in Courthouse, Chennels, Londoner and Old no 7

Don't usually have a pre match drink, but Chennels, reasonably priced beer, decent atmosphere and a TV in view no matter where you sit. My Wednesday supporting cousin spoke highly of the white bear too up near Walkabout. Bramahs has decent atmosphere too

No one's mentioned The Dove. Decent pot the few times I've been in. Not far to the ground either.

    Cheers, all.

Probably end up going to a few in town then end up nearer to ground.

I'd rather pay more and have a good atmosphere really!

Think it shows how much they need a bar in the Ponty -

On saturday we'll probably turn up about 2:55 having spent all my money in town. If there was a bar i'd come to ground and have a couple before match and maybe a cheeky one at half time. But no, The club don't want my money!!

If you are employed or in receipt of income other than government benefits...

    Chennels
    Brammahs
    Corner pin
    Groggers
    Courthouse
    O dwyers
    No 7
    Yates
    Londoner

If you are a student and like being trendy ***** bear or blargh blah.

If you want to queue for two days in an empty pub getting served walkabout.

If you are a serial benefit claimant Macy's.

I am in full time employment.

Therefore i plan to spend my (kind of) hard earned cash getting pis$ed in some alright places where all Tarn fans are.

Its about about tactics though, got to go in with a planned route!

You have to consider pint formations as well ad tactics

I'd go with Old No.7, Bramahs then Chennels in a 4-4-2
Or Silkstone, Bramahs then No. 7 as a 4-3-3
Or you could go for an old school 3-5-2 recalling the Rising Sun, Dove and Mount to the starting line up
