negative?? why would people lie and say we played brilliant when in effect we were awful, and beat a team which will be relegated by late january.

3 points away from home is a right result but the 2nd half last night was horrific. sunday mornng stuff. hoofing the ball out to noone. embarassing.

    Cheer up pal.

I know it was hardly free flowing Brazilian football, but fvcking hell. We defended well and won away from home in a local derby against fellow relegation strugglers.

I can't see a thread on here where anyone "lied" and said we were brilliant. But you have to take positives.

    Charlton away - SD's tactics

Charlton are just one place above. What tactics should SD employ on Saturday, bearing in mind the great majority of our last 30 or so away games have ended negative for us.

Do you think we should play cautiously and hope for something, a point perhaps? Or bearing in mind Charlton are lacking in confidence, (they scraped an apparently undeserved draw against Ipswich on Tuesday) should we say, to hell with it, let's go for 3 points?

I think we ought to go all out for a win. If we go one up, let's go for two, and not sit back. If we lose, at least we would lose going for it, unlike at Palace where we went down 3-0 anyway with cautious tactics and little fight.

Not only that, we have been playing well recently without scoring. We had shooting opportunities on Tuesday in first half when we played round them and through them, but I only remember Macken hitting target...TWICE. Others couldn't hit a barn door, so a) Vast improvement in performances recently b) picking more points up and c) get off Mackens back all those on it at minute!!! Take the fricking positives people...ffs!!

Only some though, some think we are going to start winning games away from home against teams who actually have a strikers.

Thats exactly what we should do, why not go for it against teams around us in the league why play negative and hope to scrape a point
