I think it's pathetic how these football players act with them thinking football should stop for them at christmas. To cut a long story short....... 1. Christmas isn't the same as you get older so he shouldn't be too bothered. 2. He should be glad of playing regular football for a change. 3. You don't hear doctors and nurses complaining about having to work at christmas. 4. You went into the profession knowing you play at christmas. 5. You should be bloody grateful as you are in a position thousands would take off you in a heartbeat. 6. Why not show a bit more skill on the field and then a big club will want you on more money. Then when you retire set for life you can have christmas everyday until the day you die.
Agreed. Back in the day, matches used to be played on Christmas Day!! They should think themselves lucky.
Football at Christmas is a big part of English tradition. Christmas this year has been a big let down personally - the first time i've ever felt like that. But at least there has always been football to look forward to, especially 3 live games for me to watch tomorrow. All these people wanting to change the game is ridiculous. The transfer window being one pathetic point. What was wrong with the way it was previously? nothing.

if he carries on playing like he has done so far in his career, it'll not be long before... he can every season off
He could always train as a Nurse and then he could work all Chrismas and New Year like some of my family have done for over 30 years.
Yeah I'm with you Johnny, its lucky we turn up every week so these pampered stars get paid their wages. Stick em on the wards or even better still in the forces!!!!!!!!!!
He and the rest of the players have just had a few days without striking a bat so why is he bothered?
