if i were George Burley (if hes still there) id sign Bobby Hassell for free, currently better than Austin and will cost less (£0). (lets hope he doesnt read the board)
Some of these free players because their contracts are up are bound to ask for bigger wages, just hope our club realises that and dont offer them Mickey mouse wages.

no But the point raised was that the club has to realise that it can't offer 'mickey mouse wages'.</p> It is understandable to say that if for example cardiff want to offer 10k to mcphail (an example) then we have to accept that we cant pay that money but there has to be a point where we realise that good players don't play for 50 quid a week. </p> If we aren't even going to try and compete then the club might as well ask to drop back down to league 1 now.</p>
