Did Bruce get three that game? I clearly remember the parting of the Blue Sea when he clattered past two of their defenders and rattled it home but didn't Higgy get one as well?

 

My memory playing tricks on me again - I always seem to think Dyer got a hat-trick when he actually got 2 of the 4 in the away leg! Was it his 2nd (our 3rd) when he broke away and slotted it home? That was the one I think I saw myself on telly in the replay.

 

It was - me and mi Dad were just a bit offset from the goals that game - may well have got on the replay ourselves. By the time Brucie did his bit even their fans had resigned themselves to gettin' hammered!

Not reyt fun walking back to the car, mind!

I once got on Sky during the six-nowt, Chelsea thrashing at home during the Premiership...
