    We would have at least had a chance,he wouldn’t have been stood on the touchline with his hands in his pockets looking lost, that’s for sure.

    I think had Warnock been appointed after Schopp was dismissed we would have survived. However its all acedemic now

    When he talked about having one last dance before retiring, I believed he was referring to us.

    Absolutely should have got him in November after Schopp. I know he says he has retired but if there's any way we can get him in next season we should.

    Makes it all the more painful knowing these set of absolute tosspots running the club didn’t even consider Warnock. What a sad state of affairs.

    As if I wasnt depressed enough. Pretty certain we would still be in the fight for safety if not already safe had we canned Poya and brought him in
    Still too late now 3rd division football next year, just hope we have a decent manager next season

    I started a thread in early February saying that he was up for the challenge and that the club was aware of his interest

    Just heard the Sheffield interview and he said he loves Barnsley and the whole area. Good bit about when he played for us with Graham Pugh in midfield the two of them used to go in the nearest WMC after home games . East Dene maybe?

    Don’t know whether his demands in terms of salary and his own staff would’ve made it feasible, but we should’ve done what we can to bring him in. He would’ve got more points before January and had a plan for the transfer window.

    But the club seemed oblivious to the fact that we were in a relegation fight.

    Considering he's retired now I doubt his salary would have been too much of an ask, especially considering Rotherham got him in a few years ago. I think he just wanted to stay in football for a little while, one last challenge. Such a shame we didn't try. Whatever he would have cost, would be less than what we are now losing with relegation!
