Will we appeal. I've not seen it so don't know how justified it was.

Don't think we would have a chance with an appeal. Looked like a sending off to me albeit a harsh one.

Shame this. Means we're low on wingers again. Looks like we may see the return of the diamond formation.

Looked like a sending off all day long to me. Obviously I've only seen it quite quickly and from an awkward angle, but my gut reaction was that if it would have been against one of our players I'd have been shouting quite loudly for a red card.

I need to see it again. I thought it was harsh but he did dive in. Think he could have had a yellow on another day.

Thought the ref was poor mind

I think you're being generous. He lunged in with two feet - I think both feet left the ground, he went through the player, and as soon as he did the people around me all seemed to mutter in unison 'He's off' - before the ref even reached for his pocket.

The red seemed inevitable. I don't think that it was malicious - but it was rash, and to be frank, it was barmy because it was in a nowhere position, wasn't going to create or change anything if he won or did not win the tackle. Don't get me wrong - I love the determination - but we was wild and it was daft. He could've really injured the lad. Straight red for me.

Both six foot something centre halves were like Bambi tonight. Pathetic.

100% red card, without any doubt.

He lunged in with two feet and studs showing... not too sure how much contact there was but either way you can't do it.

I'll have to see the incident before I make a judgement obviously, but the referee Gavin Ward, has a reputation for dealing out cards and trying to be the centre of attention so it's no surprise to me that there was a red card. Think that's his 5th in 25 games, and about 85 yellows if I remember right.
