always believed that you get nowhere keep chopping and changing and that they should have every chance but as I never wanted this pillock in the first place .............(would love to be proved wrong but lets face it it aint gonna happen )
The only problem is there was no one to replace Ritchie (who we never should've even contemplated sacking) back then and there's not going to be anyone to replace Davey now. It ain't his fault - Shepherd's fragile ego, control freakery and complete lack of foresight are solely to blame...
When Ritchie finally left he had to go we were utter ***** and he and Shep didnt seem to be communicating that well.

I agree his situation was untenable and that, IMHO, was one major contributory factor to the problems on the pitch. Fact is, it never should've got to that stage which was my point about Shepherd's ego. I applaud Davey for the work he's done and he has my backing (although I'm at a stage where I don't really care that much after all the flipping around this season) but IF we do stay up it'll be more accident than design from GS' point of view...
Re: Never advocated getting rid of managers early in their tenure nt Pointless bringing in players no better than the one's already there. Similarly managers.
Re: Never advocated getting rid of managers early in their tenure nt Exactly. But the situation is the same now - get shut, replace with who? No one wanted to come New Year, no one'll want to come now...
